1 Regarding the movement of bicycles and motorcycles

Q
I'd like to check if my bicycle or motorcycle has been moved.
A

For confirmation, please go to each storage location by phone (storage location list page).

Q
Why do you move a bicycle or motorcycle?
A

Public places such as roads are not originally places to park bicycles or motorcycles.
Abandoned bicycles and motorcycles can impair the aesthetics of the city, hinder the safe passage of pedestrians and vehicles, and hinder the passage and activities of emergency vehicles.
For this reason, in Yokohama City, the area around the railway station is designated as a prohibited area for bicycles, etc., and bicycles and motorcycles left in the prohibited area are moved.

Q
I'm only away from bicycles and motorcycles for a short time, but are I still moved?
A

Regardless of the length of time, abandoned bicycles and motorcycles are subject to movement.

Q
What does it mean?
A

It is placed in a public place other than the place where parking is permitted, and it is not possible to move immediately because the user is away from bicycles etc.
Therefore, if you leave the bicycle on the street for a short time for shopping and cannot move immediately, it will be a parked bicycle regardless of the length of the abandoned time.
("Ordinance on Prevention of Leaving of Yokohama City Bicycles (outside site)" Article 2.7)

Q
There are other bicycles and motorcycles parked around the park. Isn't it unfair to move only your bicycle or motorcycle?
A

All bicycles and motorcycles that have been left unattended during moving work are subject to movement, but bicycles and motorcycles may be parked after work because they cannot be moved many times a day .
However, this does not change the fact of neglect.

Q
Where is the basis for the movement of abandoned bicycles?
Q
How do you move around?
A

Attach a "warning tag" to a bicycle, etc., and move to a storage location while alerting with a loudspeaker as necessary.

Q

A

If you cannot move without cutting the chain, you are forced to cut and move as an accompanying act of moving work. In addition, damage to the cut chain will not be compensated.

Q
I saw a bicycle or motorcycle left unattended. Can you move it?
A

Since the movement work is planned, it is not possible to move immediately about the requested location, but if you can tell us where it is left unattended, at the next work to be performed at the relevant station Confirm.

Q
There are abandoned bicycles and motorcycles on private roads and private land. How do I deal with them?
A

If a bicycle is left on a private road or private land that is not designated as a prohibited area for bicycles, etc., you will have to respond at the discretion of the owner and manager of the land. Please note that you will not be able to move even if you contact us.
