At the end of the sewage treatment, we disinfect and release it to rivers and the sea. Is there any environmental destruction caused by that?

The amount of chemicals is adjusted so as not to affect the river or sea organisms where it is released.
The Water Reclamation Center disinfects with sodium hypochlorite for the purpose of preventing contamination of the discharge destinations by pathogenic bacteria. If more than necessary sodium hypochlorite is injected more than necessary, it will affect the organisms of the release destination, so we try to maintain an appropriate injection rate.
