Kohoku Wastewater Treatment Plant covers most areas of Kohoku Ward and Tsuzuki Ward as well as a part of Kanagawa Ward, Midori Ward and Aoba Ward.
The Water Reclamation Center treats sewage such as flush toilets and advanced treatment, and discharges it to the Tsurumi River (outside site) (Kanto Regional Development Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism), aiming to improve the water qualityconservation in public water bodies, and promptly drain rainwater. We drain it to the Tsurumi River to prevent flooding.
The Water Reclamation Center works to create a comfortable living environment in the treatment area by operating many machines, such as pumps and blowers, using a centralized management system using computers.
Jurisdiction pumping stations include Futoo pumping station, Niiba pumping station, Kawamukai pumping station, and Kamoi pumping station.
