The Yokohama Environmental Activity Award recognizes individuals, organizations, companies, elementary school studenｔ students, and students who are actively engaged in various environmental conservation, regeneration and creation initiatives.
It was established in 1993 with the aim of further raising interest in environmental conservation, regeneration and creation, promoting local environmental activities, and promoting environmentally friendly town development. .

Practical Award	Certified non-profit organization Kanagawa Marine Rescue Team （Application materials (PDF: 1,478KB)）	In Yokohama Port, Tokyo Bay (including Sagami Bay, etc.)	Members who like the sea, like ships, and want to do something for people have been working on the collection of marine floating garbage for 22 years since 1999, mainly in Yokohama Port. General volunteers also participate and collect and sort floating garbage to promote understanding of microplastic problems. In addition, in order to spread similar activities, we will use SNS to publicize the activities widely.

He continued to observe the river and observe the sea independently, considered the problem of plastic waste, sewerage, and domestic wastewater, and presented the activities and survey results at the sewer exhibition. In addition, the pond on campus was renovated as a biotope for biodiversity conservation.
