What is ethical consumption?

Ethical consumption is also referred to as "ethical consumption," and consumers are conscious of solving social issues, such as "purchase of environmentally friendly products," with an awareness of solving social issues.
This is one of the actions we can do to realize a sustainable society.

Ferris S.T.E.P.

Ferris S.T.E.P. focuses on international issues such as the environment, poverty, and human rights, and researches how these issues relate to their lives. Until now, we have incorporated eco-friendly soap on campus and devised a school meal menu that does not use palm oil. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we are working to think about what we can do and change, such as disseminating information on incorporating the SDGs into our daily lives on Twitter as "Hometime SDGs".

Let's learn in a column! (Cooperation: Mr. Eiichi Hiyoshi, Environmental Counselor)

Hiyoshi, who works as an environmental counselor, writes a column on MSC's "Sea Eco Label" and an environmental education dispatch lecture/off site lecture at elementary schools and other schools, wrote a column on MSC "Eco Lab in the Sea".

RCE Yokohama Youth Federation

The RCE Yokohama Youth Federation is an organization in which university students in Yokohama play a central role in promoting regional sustainability under the motto of "local love." We participate in the activities of "Otagai Hama," a co-creation platform in which Yokohama's citizens, companies, universities, and governments collaborate.

Yokosuka special edition

"Yokosukashi" is a talk program that speaks from a student's perspective. "Yokosukashi" is a word created by combining "Yokohama" and "night stay up", and expresses the idea of "let's connect while staying up late in Yokohama."
"Let's get started!" At the time of the Ethical Consumption Campaign 2020 (already finished) in Yokohama, we had you write a column and distributed "Yokosukashi Special Edition".

Let's learn with books! (Cooperation: Book & Cafe "HAMARU" Laksis Front Store)

The book & cafe "HAMARU" on the second floor of the city hall is the first book & cafe created by Maruzen. Surrounded by books, miscellaneous goods and music selected by bookstore staff, you can enjoy authentic coffee.
The book & cafe "HAMARU" Raksis Front store collects and introduces books on ethical consumption and the environment.
In addition, Twitter's official account also regularly introduces books on ethical consumption.
