Differences by surveying method

In Yokohama City, the surveying method differs depending on the age at which the cadastral survey was conducted, and until the mid-1940s, it shifted to flat surveying, and thereafter to numerical surveying. (There are times when it is used together.)

Because the survey method is different, there are differences in accuracy and there are differences in the materials that can be viewed.

  • What can be checked by "plate surveying" ... area
  • What can be checked in "Numeric surveying" ... area, coordinates of brush boundary point, side length

Please see "List of cadastral survey conduct districts" for which district you want to read corresponds to.
