Last Updated October 2, 2023
What is an exotic organism?
It refers to organisms that have come in from other areas through human activities, even though they were not originally in the area.
Invasive organisms are very familiar to our lives, and it is said that the number of exotic organisms that live in the field of Japan exceeds 2,000 species.
These come in from foreign countries on a daily basis, regardless of intentional or unintentional. Among alien organisms imported from overseas, invasive alien organisms that have or may adversely affect the ecosystem, human life and body, agriculture, forestry and fisheries are called "special alien organisms."

In the case of extermination, it is common to extract from the roots, but in order to prevent the spread of seeds, it is also effective to cut the ground by the beginning of the flowering season when seeds are formed.
The exterminated items should be sealed in a bag so that the seeds do not spread, exposed to the sun for a few days, and then disposed of as burnable garbage.
