Promoting DX

We will implement digital communication technology in road and river administration, redesign the work style that transcends the barriers of time and place, and promote "DX" through work style reform in town development to support the sustainable growth and development of Yokohama by road and river development without stopping the progress.

Initiatives for Promoting

[Road and River DX Strategy]

[Summary]

In order to promote "DX" through work style reforms in town development, we have created a "Road and River DX Strategy" that summarizes efforts in road and river administration.

  • In order to support Yokohama's sustainable growth and development, even in the face of a shortage of workers due to a decline in the working-age population and a severe financial outlook, we will work on "DX" through work style reforms in community development.
  • In order to fulfill the responsibilities of road and river administration, we have set four visions for the future and four DX to be pursued by the Road and Highway Bureau.

[Main Points of Road and River DX Strategy]

  • Alignment with the Yokohama DX Strategy

“Link-Up!” will be launched in April 2024, in line with the Yokohama DX Strategy, which sets out the DX policy for Yokohama City as a whole, “Link-Up! We will create new ways of working by maximizing the diversification of communication methods and data access through YOKOHAMA.

  • Positioning of Road and River DX Strategy

The Road and River DX Strategy is a policy for utilizing digital communication technology to achieve the Road and Highway Bureau operation policy while maintaining consistency with related plans such as the Yokohama DX Strategy, which sets out policies for DX throughout the city.

  • "Four DX" to be promoted under the Road and River DX Strategy

DX promoted by road and river administration was classified into four categories: maintenance and management, disaster prevention, construction, and procedures.
