Traffic safety measures such as travel routes for pre-school children

　Following a traffic fatal accident that occurred in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture on May 8, 2019, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism announced on June 18, "About ensuring traffic safety such as routes for pre-school children to move in groups on a daily basis" A notice was issued, and based on that, an emergency joint inspection was conducted by facility officials, responsible organizations, road managers, and local police at inspection points extracted by facility officials such as childcare.
　In addition, as Motoichi original approach, we extracted intersections where accidents occur frequently or intersections where pedestrians are densely populated, and carried out emergency inspection by road manager.
　In addition, we promptly conducted on-site confirmation of requests received from citizens in connection with the accident.　

　Based on the results of these inspections, etc., a list of locations that require countermeasures and location maps are posted. In the future, we will update the information on the status of implementation of countermeasures.
　As of the end of August 2022, the following sections have been completed.

　・Sidewalk maintenance points: 1 location (city road Tsurugamine Tennocho Line, etc.)
