Why is Naka Library's mascot a horse?
A horse in the traditional ritual of Honmoku Shrine, right next to Naka Library, has a horse-shaped head.
Also, when Yokohama opened the port, Negishi had Japan's first Western-style racetrack was built in Negishi, and Yamate had a promenade for foreigners in their settlement, and Yamate had a promenade for foreigners in their settlementNaka Ward.
It was chosen by the vote of people who use the library.
What's the name Mock?
- From "Moku" in Honmoku, where Naka Library is located → Mock
- I read the book silently in the illustration…
- It is easy for both children and foreign nationals to call.
That's why I got it. Names were recruited from people using the library and decided.
