Information on various services
In addition to lending, returning, and reservation, the library offers a variety of services, so please use it.

Internet terminals
Next to the counter on the first floor, there are two computers that can use the Internet. Please use it for your research.
Information on Usage
- Please apply at the counter.
- You can use it for free.
- Various databasesYou can use it. For more information, please contact us.
- You can use up to 6 frames per day (3 hours) with 30 minutes per person as one frame. (Please note that if a reservation is made, it will be replaced.)
- Reservations will be accepted in the following order only if you are in use. However, reservations cannot be made by telephone or other means without visiting the library or by specifying a time.
Attention
- Since it is a personal computer dedicated to browsing the Internet, Words, Excels, e-mails, games, chats, writing on bulletin boards, and browsing CD-ROMs cannot be used.
- You cannot print out or download data.
- I can't answer any questions about the operation of the computer.
Reuse Bunko
It is a place where you can bring books that are no longer needed at home and exchange them with residents of the city. It's located at the entrance of the library.
(It is not a recycling of books in the library.)
When bringing in a book
- Take it to the Izumi Library counter.
- Please refrain from sending by mail or courier.
- Up to 20 books per person
However, the following books cannot be brought in.
- Stains (including writing, markers, etc.), damage, and severe sunburn of paper
- For the purpose of advertising, political activities, and religious missionary work.
- Those that hinder the healthy development of young people
- Encyclopedias, complete literature, etc.
- Published in picture books, etc.
- Recycling books for other cities and facilities
When taking out a book
・Up to 20 books per person (about 20)
・If you no longer need it, please dispose of it yourself. (Please refrain from bringing in again.)
Copy service
The copier is in front of the counter on the first floor. It's a coin-type self-service. Please feel free to use it.
Fees
- The black and white is 10 yen per sheet regardless of size.
- The color B5, B4 and A4 versions are 50 yen per sheet, and the A3 version is 80 yen per sheet.
"Izumi Ward News" bulletin board
News about Izumi Ward published in newspapers and town magazines is posted on the bulletin board on the second floor.
You can find the latest information about Izumi Ward.
Lending of reading aids
If you find it difficult to read the text of the book in the library, the following items are available.
We will rent it in the museum. If you wish, please contact the counter on the first floor.
- Enlarged reading device (installed in the face-to-face reading room on the first floor)
- Glasses
- Magnifying glass (loupe)
- Reading tracker (bookmark for reading)
Support services for persons with disabilities
In order to receive the service, you need to register. May I have your name, Address, Phone number and the degree of disability?
Since registration is common in the city, you can receive "face-to-face reading" at all Yokohama City Library halls in one procedure.
We also lend Braille books and talking books by mail from Chuo-toshokan. For more information, please check here.

Face-to-face reading service
Readers will read your desired books, newspapers, magazines, etc. in the face-to-face reading room (photo) of the library. It is available during the opening hours of the library.
※In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we are currently offering face-to-face reading services using conference rooms that can ensure social distance.
