Guide to Izumi Library

Izumi Ward's mascot character "Izun" will guide you through Izumi Library. Izun has a habit of adding "zun" to the end.

The front of the entrance is a counter.

The book is counter number two. It takes 2 weeks to 10 books per person from the entire Yokohama City Library building.
The place where you can return books is counter number three. Just return the books, please. You do not need a library card or a receipt issued at the time of lending.
When making a card, book reservation and consultation is the number one counter.
If you want to know more about usage guidance, please refer to this "Usage Guide".

The first floor is "Children's and children."

Books read by people from babies to junior high school students are on the first floor. You can also enjoy picture books and picture-story shows.

There is a picture book corner where you can meet for the first time.

We are collecting children's songs and picture books that we want to enjoy with children from 0 to 3 years old. Please use it when you want to read aloud but don't know what picture book you should choose.

There is a child care support information corner.

In addition to childcare books, there are also flyers and pamphlets that are useful for raising children.

The picture book corner for reading is also popular.

We are collecting picture books that are suitable for reading stories to many children. Please refer to the story-telling book when choosing a book.

The first story corner is also very popular.

This is a book corner for children who have begun to be able to read books by themselves. We collected fun story stories with plenty of sashimi.

There's a teens corner.

There are novels and practical books for teenagers.

The second floor is "Adult Library."

There is a book for adults to read on the second floor. There is also a seat to do research.
Izuzu is standing on the "Information Science Corner" on the left right after going up to the second floor. A collection of practical books about personal computers and computer software.

There are newspapers and magazines.

The library has not only books, but also newspapers, magazines, and town magazines. Please check here for the titles of newspapers and magazines owned by Izumi Library.

There is also a multicultural corner.

You can borrow books written in English, Chinese, Korean, Korean, and Vietnamese.
There are also books to study Japanese, and books that introduce Japanese culture.

It is not possible to make a reservation using the user search machine.

Please use the user's search machine to search for books. You can also find out if it is in Yokohama, which library has it, which library is in, which bookshelves, whether it is on loan or stock.
If you have a book not owned by Izumi Library, or if you have it, you can use a user search machine to make a reservation and order it from another museum.
At the No. 1 "Consultation Corner" at the counter on the first floor, the librarian will help you search, make reservations, and investigate.

The library is a convenient place for you to live.

Izumi Library has many books that everyone can enjoy, from babies to the elderly. In addition to books, there is also a lot of useful information such as magazines, newspapers, and maps. Please use the library by all means.
