The 4th edition "Discover new self! Memory and Mental Health
Last Updated January 5, 2023
What is "Nishikurabu"?
Chuo-toshokan and Nishi Ward Office will collaborate with universities and vocational schools in Nishi Ward to offer courses that leverage the expertise of each school as part of their Nishi Ward Reading Activity Promotion Goals. In course, we introduce related books together and provide opportunity to raise interest in learning motivation and reading of inhabitants of a ward.
In the 4th edition of Nishikurabu, in cooperation with Yashima Gakuen University, "Discover new self! We will deliver a video of courses on the theme of "memory and mental health."
Outline of the course
The memory of an event that a person has experienced up to that point is called "autonomous memory." This autobiographic memory plays a very important role in the direction of life, understanding yourself, and developing relationships with others. In addition, the brain has been activated by unraveling memories, and its effects have been confirmed in a wide range of ways, from young people searching for themselves to the prevention of dementia in the elderly, such as preventing decline in motor and cognitive functions, and relieving stress. In this course, through work and communication, we will activate the Atama and heart while touching on our own warm memories based on nostalgic photos and memories.
