Yokohama City Library offers a list of recommended books for children.
In addition, in 2009, we recruited "books that we want everyone to read" for elementary school students in the city, gathered those that were frequently recommended among them, and created a list of "150 books selected by Yokohama children" Did.
All of the books listed on these lists are very popular with children and are often used, but due to budget constraints, it is not enough to have enough books even if they are popular. It is the current situation.
Please cooperate in donating children's books as a gift to children in Yokohama.

"I want to find out about illness and medicine because I got a disease called XX," "I have a traffic accident, so I want to find out about the procedure," "I want to start a business, so I want to check industry / company information and market trends." Many citizens come to the library in search of information necessary for living and work. .
I would like cooperation for donation of "books useful for research" of citizens.

1. Attach a donation commemorative sticker with the name of the donating company / organization on the back cover of the donated book (inside the book).
2. Information on donors will be posted on the Yokohama City Library website, "Introduction to Companies and Organizations for Cooperation".
3. We will inform you that you donated it via Yokohama City Library X (formerly Twitter).
4. We will set up a corner for a certain period of time to introduce books donated to Yokohama City Library.
5. A presentation ceremony for the donated books will be held.

2. We will ask you about the title you would like to donate and the number of books you want. In particular, if you do not have a request for the title, etc.
3. We will inform you of the title of the book you want to donate. If the number of titles or the number of books is large, we will send you a list of books.
4. You will need to place an order and pay at a bookstore, etc. based on the list.
   In that case, if you specify the delivery destination to the Chuo-toshokan Research Materials Division, the donation will be completed.
   You can bring it directly to the library or receive a donation by mail. In the case of mailing, you will be required to pay the shipping fee.

The procedure for requesting the donor is 1 and 4.

Please be aware of the following and make an offer.

1. Library books will continue to be used until they deteriorate over time (about 10 years after purchase). However, books that can no longer be used for citizens due to damage or soiling will be discarded without waiting for 10 years. Books donated are no exception. Thank you for your understanding.
2. Not all books you wish to donate can be used as library materials. If you wish to donate books that are not listed on the list of books you wish to donate, we may not be able to meet your request and may reconsider donating them in other books. Thank you for your understanding.
3. About sticking of sticker with donation group name, we apply Yokohama-shi insertion summary and Yokohama-shi insertion standard mutatis mutandis.
