About National Health Insurance limit application authorization

There is no need to present the limit application certificate. ※You do not need to apply for renewal in August every year.

If you use a minor insurance card, you will be exempt from payment exceeding the limit in the high-cost medical expenses system without prior procedures. You do not need to apply for a limit application certificate in advance, so please use your minor insurance card.

With the introduction of the online qualification confirmation system at medical institutions, etc., it is possible to confirm the limit application category with the consent of the individual, so the limit application certificate (for tax-exempt households, "Limit application / standard burden reduction certificate") is not required.
※Paper limit application certificates can also be used as before.
※Those who fall under the following need to apply for a limit application certificate.
・In the case of medical institutions that do not have an online qualification confirmation system
・Municipal tax-exempt households who have been hospitalized for more than 90 days in 12 months before the application date will receive further reductions in dietary allowances

  • Identification documents (My Number Card, driver's license, passport, etc.) of the person who came to the notification

※The effective date of the limit certificate is from the first day of the application month. If the amount paid in the previous month exceeds the co-payment limit, please apply for high medical costs.
