PASMO Auto Charge Service

What is Auto Charge?
- The PASMO Auto Charge Service is a service that automatically charges if the remaining amount of PASMO is less than a certain amount (* 1) when entering and exiting at a station ticket gate.
- To use the PASMO Auto Charge Service, you need a registered PASMO (* 2) and a credit card (* 3) for payment of the usage fee.
(* 1) In the initial setting, if the remaining amount is less than 2,000 yen, it is set to charge 3,000 yen, but the conditions and amount for autocharge can be changed in units of 1,000 yen within the range of 1,000 yen to 10,000 yen.
※The PASMO Auto Charge Service cannot be used for more than 10,000 yen per day or 50,000 yen per month.
※At the Yokohama Municipal Subway, all stations are automatically charged when entering and leaving, but some stations on other railways cannot charge auto. For details, please contact the railway operator you are using.
(*2) There are two types of PASMO: registered type and unregistered type. If you register your name when purchasing PASMO, it is a registered PASMO. Your name is written in katakana on the card.
Note that the auto charge service is not available with anonymous PASMO. Please change to a registered name at the automatic ticket vending machine, station office, and customer service centers in Centerminami, Shin-Yokohama, Yokohama and Kamiooka at all subway stations. In addition, Hama Eco Card does not support the automatic charge service of PASMO for children.
(*3) Credit cards for paying the auto charge usage fee must be in the name of the owner of the PASMO who applies for the auto charge service. You can also receive an auto charge service with one PASMO per credit card.
You cannot apply for an autocharge service for two or more PASMOs for a single credit card.
How to apply for an auto charge service
There is a difference in the application method between those who already have the Hama Eco Card and those who will join the Hama Eco Card in the future, so please see each explanation.
[A] Those who have subscribed to Hama Eco Card, those who are currently applying for membership
- If you are currently applying for a Hama Eco Card, please apply for the Auto Charge Service after receiving the Hama Eco Card.
- Make sure that your PASMO is registered or anonymous.
- Auto charge service is not available with anonymous PASMO (a katakana card with no name written on the card). Please change to a registered address at your local station office or at the Customer Service Center.
※If you do not have a PASMO, please purchase a registered PASMO first. It can be purchased at the automatic ticket vending machine at the station or at the commuter pass sales counter. - Please fill out the "PASMO Auto Charge Service Enrollment Application Form" and mail it.

- The auto charge service is set by Pasmo Corporation. You will receive a postcard in about 3 weeks.
※At this point, the application has not been completed. If you do not receive the postcard after 3 weeks from the application, or if you do not receive the postcard.
If you change Address before arrival, please contact the PASMO Auto Charge Service Center.
PASMO Service Center Contact: 03-5323-7031 (9: 30-17: 00 except weekends, holidays, and the year-end and New Year holidays) - Please bring the sent postcard and the registered PASMO to your local station office. Set the use of the auto charge service on the spot.
※If the procedure is not completed by the deadline indicated on the postcard, you will need to apply for the PASMO Auto Charge Service again. Some railway operators can set up the use of the PASMO auto charge service with ticket vending machines. For more information, please contact the PASMO service provider.
[B] Those who will join the Hama Eco Card from now on
- Please apply for the Hama Eco Card from the Yokohama Kotsu hama-eco card application page of Sumitomo Mitsui VISA Card.
- You will receive the Hama Eco Card in approximately one week, so please apply for the PASMO Auto Charge Service using the method described in [A] as soon as it arrives.
