Regarding the “Basic Policy on School Area System and School Scale” formulated in December 2010, the “Basic Policy on School Area System and School Scale” (hereinafter referred to as “Basic Policy”), it is necessary to review the basic policy to respond to changes in the environment. From August 2017, the Yokohama City School Scale Optimization Committee (hereinafter referred to as the “Committee”).
The committee deliberated six times, and the contents were submitted to the Board of Education on July 6, 2018 as a report.
The basic policy was revised on December 21, 2018 based on the report of the committee and based on opinions from citizens sent by citizen opinion offer. Based on the basic policy, we will promote initiatives to improve the educational environment for children.
