City of Yokohama, Board of Education Secretariat is recruiting temporary staff and part-time instructors (or part-time staff) as substitutes for faculty and staff at Yokohama Municipal Schools (elementary schools, junior high schools, compulsory education schools, special needs schools and high schools).
・As a “temporary appointment staff (full-time)”, he is in charge of classroom teachers and division of school affairs in addition to classes.
・In charge of each class as a part-time lecturer (hourly amount)
・As a "part-time support lecturer (time amount, team teaching)", he is in charge of classroom support and assistant teacher.
From "full-time" to "one day a week", various work styles are possible according to your lifestyle. Please feel free to contact us.
About registration procedure

You can answer the questionnaire on work in 2025 from the following URL.

The results of the questionnaire will be used as a reference for work introductions for the next fiscal year. It doesn't always mean that you're going to be.
If you have not registered yet or have expired, please participate in one of the registration sessions.
For those who did not renew their license
Even if your teacher's license is dormant, you can now provide guidance on your work with the abolition of the license renewal system (after July 1, 2022).
Please check the Kanagawa Prefecture website for details on the changes and the validity of the license due to the abolition of the renewal system.

For those who have difficulty participating in weekday registration meetings, we will hold holiday registration meetings and online registration meetings using the web conferencing system. We will post the schedule of the event at any time.

Targets and Qualifications
Job type | Remarks |
---|---|
Teacher | Have the desired school type or teacher's normal license of a school nurse. You can also register for those who are expected to obtain it. |
Nutrition staff | You must have a dietitian or a registered dietitian license. You can also register for those who are expected to obtain it. |
Administrative staff | No special qualifications are required. You will need basic skills of personal computers such as e-mail and the Internet for business purposes. |
・Those who do not fall under the disqualifications of Article 16 of the Local Public Service Act and Article 9 of the School Education Act.
・There is no age limit.
About registration procedure

Registration sessions are held at five locations in Yokohama City, so please come to a venue that is convenient for access and schedule. (Please check the following items for the schedule etc.)
On the day of the registration meeting, an interview (about 30 minutes) will be conducted to ask you about your concerns about employment, your desired working conditions, and your past work history, etc., and the registration will be completed.
※No matter which venue you register, all Yokohama municipal schools will be eligible for work introductions.
In addition, registration information is managed by all venues, so there is no need to participate in multiple registered venues.

You may be able to accept applications even on the day of the event, so please contact each registered venue by phone before visiting the agency.
If you would like to register on a day other than the publication date, please consult the Western, Eastern or Northern School Education Office (9:00 to 17:00 on weekdays).
Weekday registration meetings are held throughout the year. If you would like to participate in the registration meeting for the month that is not listed on the schedule, please consult directly with the registration venue.

Identity and Service
Appointed as a fiscal year appointment employee based on Article 22-2 of the Local Public Service Act. Service obligations, such as duty to concentrate on duties and confidentiality, are imposed.
Registration period
The registration period is 3 years in principle. If you work at Yokohama City School during that time, the registration period will be extended until the end of the fiscal year to which three years have passed since the appointment was completed. After the end of the year when you have not worked for three years, you will need to re-register.
