For those who use the application for extension of exemption period for childcare teacher examination

This page is for certifying the requirements for working period and number of working hours based on work experience at an unlicensed childcare facility when applying for an extension of the childcare teacher exam.


If you have any inquiries about the childcare teacher test system, including the extension system for exemption from the childcare teacher exam.

There was a notice of partial revision of the "School Examination" (Notice of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare), and the work related to extension of the exemption period for passing subjects in the nursery teacher examination was newly described.
Those who have a certain level of work experience at licensed nursery schools, kindergartens, unlicensed daycare centers, etc. can extend the exemption period by submitting documents with their work experience.

Of these, non-licensed childcare facilities, a certificate to confirm that they meet the requirements for the working period and the number of working hours at the target facility during the target period are met (the period during which notification is made as an unlicensed childcare facility) is issued in Yokohama.
If you use the exemption period extension system for passing subjects in the childcare teacher exam with the work experience of the Yokohama Nursery Room and unlicensed childcare facilities, and apply for the childcare teacher test, please refer to the following Please request a certificate of childcare facility by mail to the department in charge.

1 Request the work facility or corporation for a “work certificate for applying for an extension of the exemption period for passing subjects (PDF: 62KB) (hereinafter referred to as“ work certificate ”)”.
※"The work certificate cannot be entered.
※The format of the Japan Nursery Teacher Training Council may be used.

2 “Application Form for Issuance of Non-licensed Childcare Facility Certificate for Application for Extension of Exemption Period for Exemption from Passed Subjects (PDF: 68KB) (hereinafter referred to as“ Issuance Application Form ”)”
"Certificate of non-approved childcare facility certificate for applying for an extension of exemption period for passing subjects (PDF: 52KB) (hereinafter referred to as“ Facility Certificate ”)”
Fill in required items.

3 “Work certificate (copy)”, “Issuance application form”, “Facility certificate”, “Return envelope with stamp (84 yen)”
After confirming that there are no omissions, enclose the above four points and mail them to the following address.

Please be sure to check before mailing.

1.Is the applicant column of the issuance application form stamped?
2.Do you enclose a reply envelope with a stamp (84 yen) attached?
3.Are there any omissions in the “Work Certificate”, “Issuance Application Form” and “Facility Certificate”?
4.Is the "work certificate" copy? (Please do not send the original.)
5.If there is no defect and there is no survey in the facility, it takes about two weeks to issue. Please apply with plenty of time.
