In child care cooperation type authorization child institution in "child, child care support new system" that came into effect in April, 2015.
It is necessary to have a "childcare teacher" who has both licenses and qualifications of "kindergarten teacher's license" and "childcare qualification".
For five years after the enforcement of the new system, there is a transitional measure that allows you to work as a “childcare teacher” if you have either a “kindergarten teacher's license” or “childcare qualification”. You need to obtain a license or qualification.
For this reason, it is necessary to obtain childcare qualification for those who have a kindergarten teacher's license during the transitional measure period and have at least 3 years and 4,320 hours of actual working hours at facilities subject to special exceptions. Special provisions such as the number of credits have been set up to promote the combination of licenses and qualifications.

Facilities subject to special provisions include non-licensed childcare facilities and Yokohama childcare rooms that have been issued a "certificate of meeting the non-licensed childcare facility guidance and supervision standards". However, the following facilities are excluded.
・More than half of the elementary school studenｔ who use this facility are temporary custody (on an irregular contract with the guardian of elementary school studenｔ on a daily or hourly basis to provide childcare services).
・More than half of the elementary school studenｔ who use this facility use all or part of the facility from 22:00 to 7:00 the next day

If you use the special system with practical experience in the Yokohama nursery room and non-licensed childcare facilities and apply for a nursery teacher test, please request a "certificate of facilities subject to special system" by mail to the department in charge as follows .

1 Request a “work certificate (outside site)” from a work facility or corporation. (The "work certificate" cannot be filled in by the person.)

2 Fill in required items in the “Application for Issuance of Facility Certificates Subject to Special System (PDF: 66KB)” and “Certificate of Facility Subject to the Special System (PDF: 53KB)”.

3 Check that there are no omissions in the “Certificate of Practice (Copy)”, “Application for Issuance of Facility Certificates subject to special system”, and “Certificate of Facility Subject to the Special System”, and enclose a reply envelope with a stamp (84 yen) attached. And mail it to the following address.
