Hatchi, a support base for child care in the Konan Ward area

Yokohama-shi "Yokohama-shi child, child care support project plan-child, everybody plays a leading role!　It is a comprehensive facility for child care support in the area maintained in each ward based on the "Yokohama Waku Waku Plan-".
Consultation on where to stay and child care for parents and children, collection and provision of child care information, promotion of child care support network in ward, training for child care supporters, promotion of custody of children in the area (Yokohama child care support system), child care We provide consultation according to needs of home and coordination with related organizations.

In March 2008, the Konan Ward Regional Child Care Support Center opened in Konan Ward at Hino 2-chome, a 5-minute walk from Konan Chuo Station.

Out of the 153 applicants for nickname recruitment, those who are engaged in child care support activities and mothers who are raising children were decided to be "Hachi" at the member's project meeting.
"Hachi" is derived from the English [hach] which means "entrance" and "door".
This means such as the door (hatch) for child-rearing, which aims to be a starting point for new child-rearing support in Konan Ward. In addition, since it has the meaning of "froging chicks", it also includes the thought that children will grow up from here and the various thoughts of parents will grow up.

Regarding the implementation of the Konan Ward Regional Child Care Support Center Project (Konan Ward Child Care Support Center Hatchchi), the fourth fiscal year (FY2019), which is the middle year of the third project implementation period (FY2019), the ward and the base management corporation looked back on the implementation status of the project with experts and published the results, issues, future directions, etc.
