The local child care support base is a base for child care support that provides a space for pre-school children and their parents to play and interact, provides child care consultation, and provides child care information. It is a facility that has the following seven functions and is a base for child care support in the area.
①Parent-child location function
②Child care consultation function
③Child-rearing information collection and provision functions
④User support function (Consultation response, etc. according to individual needs)
⑤Child care support network function (thing about cooperation between people performing support activities related to child care)
⑥Child care support human resource development function (fostering and support of those who provide support activities related to child care)
⑦Yokohama child care support system ward branch office function (promotion of support to keep children among local residents)

In fiscal 2021, the Konan Ward Regional Child Care Support Center reached its third fiscal year (from fiscal 2017 to fiscal 2021).

The operator shall be a corporation that falls under any of the following.

• Social welfare corporations that run child welfare facilities such as daycare centers in the city
• Medical corporations that operate medical facilities in the city
• Non-profit activities (NPOs) corporations with a track record of child care support activities in the city
• School corporations that run kindergartens in the city

The qualification of the proposal (application) shall be a corporation that meets all of the following.

• Being listed on the list of qualified general competitive bidding participants in Yokohama City or being registered before concluding a consignment contract.
• It is not the primary purpose of religious or political activities.
