About business license of restaurant business (temporary business)

If you operate at a temporary store such as a stall or container in conjunction with a temporary event, you may need to obtain a business license.
For more information, please contact Health and Welfare Center Health Sanitation Division.

Stall-type temporary sales
Business performed at facilities such as movable assembling tents accompanying temporary events.
Temporary events where business is allowed
Events that meet all of the following conditions are allowed to operate.
- Held by the implementing entity (national, local government, corporation or organization) for a certain purpose.
- Temporary holding period does not exceed approximately one month
Foods that can be handled
The foods that can be handled are "food that is cooked locally or food that has a simple cooking process", and the number of items that can be handled at the same time is "1 item".

Application for business license
Please apply to a public health center in Kanagawa Prefecture (in the case of Yokohama City, Health and Welfare Center Health Sanitation Division, each ward) that has jurisdiction over the following locations:
Business licenses obtained at any public health center in the prefecture are also permitted to operate in other local governments in the prefecture.
- Facilities (tents, etc.) storage location
- The applicant’s Address area (in the case of a corporation, the location of the principal office)
- Main Business Areas
The priority of the application destination is 1. → 2 → It is in the order of 3.
Simple fixed-type temporary business
This refers to business conducted in a container house that can be easily installed and removed without connecting water pipes, etc. in conjunction with temporary events.
Temporary events where business is allowed
Events that meet all of the following conditions are allowed to operate.
- Held by the implementing entity (national, local government, corporation or organization) for a certain purpose.
- Temporary holding period does not exceed approximately one month
Foods that can be handled
Foods that can be handled are "non-heated meat, seafood and chicken eggs, fresh cream and non-soft ice cream".
The number of items is as follows.
- If the capacity of the water tank and drainage tank is 40 liters or more and less than 80 liters, respectively ... The number of items that can be handled at the same time is 1 item
- When the capacity of the water tank and drainage tank is 80 liters or more each ... Multiple items
Application for business license
Please apply to Health and Welfare Center Health Sanitation Division, which is responsible for the location of the store.
Notification by the implementing entity (organizer) of the temporary event
Organizers of temporary events should submit an outline of the event to Health Sanitation Division Health and Welfare Center, which has jurisdiction over the event at least two weeks prior to the event.
However, this does not apply to cases where the “Event Holding Notification” is submitted. For details, please refer to the notification of local events (festivals, events, etc.) (food that does not fall under business).
