About World Diabetes Day
The IDF (International Diabetes Union) and the World Health Organization (WHO) were established in 1991 to address the global threat of diabetes, and was officially certified by the United Nations in 2006. November 14 is also the birthday of Dr. Banting, Canada, who discovered the insulin.
Currently, it is one of the world's leading disease awareness days with more than 1 billion people from 160 countries around the world, and the diabetes awareness campaign, which is held around the world around this day, is important to prevent diabetes and continue treatment. It is an important opportunity to inform the public about the importance.
The World Diabetes Day campaign uses a blue circle motif, which is a symbol that will be used since 2007, the year after the United Nations Resolution on Diabetes was adopted. We design blue, which represents the United Nations and the endless sky, and rings that represent unity, and unite for Diabetes are promoting campaigns around the world to control diabetes, along with the catchphrase "unite for Diabetes."
