Along with the partial revision of the Child Welfare Law, a part of the medical opinion will be changed.

Along with the partial revision of the Child Welfare Law, "Date of diagnosis" (the day when the contents were diagnosed) will be added to the medical opinion issued to patients with chronically ill children from October 1, 2023. Will be “Date of diagnosis” is required to determine the start date of medical care benefits for children with chronic illness, so please do not omit any omissions.
In principle, it is necessary to submit a medical opinion after the revision, but if you are forced to use the medical opinion before the revision, please indicate the date of diagnosis in the remarks column or margin.

From October 1, 2024, we have shifted to online application procedures.

In principle, the first day of the month following the month in which the designated application was received is the certification date.

About pediatric chronic specific illness designated doctor training training

In Yokohama City, designated doctor training will be conducted as a web training program.
Those who are applying for designated physicians and who are not qualified as specialists certified by academic societies as stipulated by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare are required to take this training course.
