About donor leave system-backed up from companies to promote bone marrow transplantation-

Problems associated with bone marrow and peripheral blood stem cell transplant

In providing bone marrow, etc., donors (donors) go to the hospital during the day on weekdays for preliminary examinations, etc., and hospitalization for several days when transplanting bone marrow and peripheral blood stem cells. You have to take a break from work for these. For this reason, even those who are registered as donors with the Japan Bone Marrow Bank decline the offer because it is not convenient for work.

What is the Donor Leave System?

The “donor leave system” refers to a system as one of the special leave instead of paid leave, which is necessary to become a donor and provide bone marrow and peripheral blood stem cells. It is to establish. In addition, even if you do not establish a new system, you can apply the case of providing bone marrow or peripheral blood stem cells to existing "special leave" or "volunteer leave".

Significance of Introduction of Donor Leave System-To General Affairs and Human Resources Officers of Companies and Organizations-

The introduction of donor leave at work makes it easier to take leave and greatly reduces the psychological and physical burden on donors. Helping donors also help save the lives of patients with many blood diseases, and is of great social significance. We ask all companies to consider the development of the system.
