Various chemical substances added in so-called health foods
Last Updated April 1, 2023
It's a laxative. The main ingredients are Sennoside A and B. A crude drug containing the same ingredients is diow (large yellow). Drinking health tea containing senna has health hazards such as "diarrhea does not stop" and "abdominal pain". Avoid taking during pregnancy.
It was once used as a laxative, but its carcinogenicity has become clear and cannot be used. It is currently used as an alkaline and red PH directive.
Diuretic medicine. It is used as a drug. The body loses weight temporarily because the water in the body is discharged in a short time, but be careful as the electrolyte balance is lost. There are also side effects of hyperglycemia.
An appetite suppression. Psychotropic medicine. Non-approved drugs in Japan. Substances contained high concentrations in diet foods in China.
A substance with -NO (nitroso groups) attached to fenflulamine. It is said to cause liver damage. Like fenflulamin, it is used to suppress appetite, but is not a drug.
An appetite suppression. Psychotropic medicine. Drugs approved in Japan (Sanorex), but follow the doctor's instructions on how to take them.
Treatment for obesity. Although it is an unapproved drug in Japan, it has been approved in the United States, U.K., Germany and other countries, and is sold under the product name "Meridia" or "Liductil".
In combination with a MAO (monoamine oxidase) inhibitor (antidepressant) can increase heart rate and blood pressure, which can cause extremely serious health problems. Diet foods containing Shibutramin were sold on the Internet as well as overseas, so it is highly likely that they are still being sold today. Avoid using shibutramin in situations where there is no appropriate instruction from a doctor or the like.
Raw materials for stimulants (concentration of 10% or more). Main ingredient of crude drug Maou (hea yolk). Drugs include "efedolin hydrochloride" and are used as an antitussis or bronchodilator.
It is considered to be used in diet foods because side effects include increased body temperature, anorexia, and sweating. If "Ma-Huang" is written on the component label of the supplement, etc., it is very likely that ephedolin will be contained.
Local medicine is made from dried and powdered thyroid of cattle, pigs and sheep. It shows the effects of thyroid hormone (tyroxin) such as increased basal metabolism and weight loss. It has been abused as a "thinning medicine" since around 1965. Excessive use of thyroid hormones causes side effects similar to hyperthyroidism, such as hyperpalpitations, liver dysfunction, menstruation, and mental instability.
Glybenclamide
Blood hypoglycemic medicine. In addition to glybenclamide, torbutamide and acetohexamide are also mentioned. These hypoglycemic drugs are called SUs because they have a structure of sulfonyl Urea (Sulfonyl Urea). While reports of health hazards in so-called health foods advocating glucose drop effects have been reported, for some reason, recently it has been added to strong and tonic health foods. This health food contained dozens of times the amount of medicinal efficacy.
The natural male hormone is testosterone. Oral administration is decomposed by the liver. Methyl testone, a synthetic male hormone, is a drug that can be administered orally, so it is added to to the tonic and tonic health foods.
Syldenafil citric acid, a drug, is also used as a treatment for erectile dysfunction in Japan. Chinese tonic and tonic health foods (capsules, tablets, drinks) may contain high concentrations of sildenafil. Recently, homosildenafil, Hondenafil, Valdenafil, and Tadalafil, which have similar structures to sildenafil, have also been detected. Side effects have reported headaches, hot flashes, visual impairment, etc. Be careful when combined with sildenafil with nitric acid, a treatment for angina pectoris, or a nitrogen monoxide (such as nitroglycerin), blood pressure may drop excessively and cardiac arrest.
In many cases, lidocaine is contained in creams and sprays with an erectile effect. Lidocaine is also used as an anti-arrhythmic agent in addition to local anesthesia (surface anesthesia).
Inorganic mercury compounds may be added to Chinese cosmetics labeled with whitening. Inorganic mercury compounds are highly irritant and can cause contact dermatitis. It is also said that ingestion causes ulcerative gastroenteritis and nephritis.
The steroid drug used here refers to adrenal cortizone, such as betazone and cortizone. For the purpose of suppressing inflammation, both internal and external drugs are used. Because it is used for the treatment of atopic dermatitis, etc., it may be contained in beautiful skin cream made overseas. If used properly, steroid drugs are very good drugs, but if you use them incorrectly in your own way, side effects can be stronger and cause health damage.
