How do I apply for a job selection?

During the selection process for fiscal 2024, please fill in required items from the electronic application and notification system, and mail the required documents by registered mail.

What kind of content is the selection process?

The selection method is an essay (about 1,000 characters) and an individual interview (about 20 minutes).

If I select "Anyone" according to the request of my assignment, which one will be assigned?

The decision is made based on the interview.

What should I do if my graduation (expected) certificate during the application acceptance period?

If it cannot be issued due to the school's circumstances, please submit a delay contact form and a certificate of enrollment.
In addition, delays due to the circumstances of the individual.

Is there an age limit for hiring new graduates who have experience working outside the nursing profession?

There is no age limit due to such experience. Please refer to the recruitment information page or the examination guide for eligibility.

Do you have any plans to conduct a web (online) interview?

In the recruitment selection for FY2024, we plan to conduct face-to-face interviews instead of a web interview. However, if there is a change in the selection method in the future, it will be posted on the latest information on the top page.

What's the magnification rate for the exam?

The real magnification rate (number of examinees / number of successful applicants) for 2023 is 1.7 times.

I would like to go to a midwife training school. Can I take the exam?

If you meet the eligibility requirements, you can take the exam. Please check the application form to check if you wish to go to school. There is no effect on pass / fail, so please enter it honestly.

I would like to go to a midwife training school. If I pass the recruitment selection, can I hold my job offer?

We will not be able to hold it because it will be recruited upon sending out a pass notice. If you decide to decline your recruitment, you will need to submit a notice of decline. In that case, please contact the person in charge. In addition, it is not possible to extend the recruitment date.

Education, Treatment and Benefits

Can I choose a place to work?

The decision is made based on the wishes of the Yokohama Municipal Citizen's Hospital or Yokohama City Apolexy and Spinal Nerves Center.

Is there a change between a municipal hospital and a stroke / neurvert center?

There is a possibility of transfer. However, transfers between hospitals are determined based on the wishes of the individual. There is also a system for dispatching training to work at the other hospital for one year.

What kind of status and position do you have if you are hired?

You will be the status of a local government employee.
I will be a regular employee of City of Yokohama, Medical Care Bureau Hospital Administration Headquarters.
Regulations pertaining to Yokohama City staff are also applied to treatment.

When will the night shift start?

For April recruiters, night shift training will begin around June or July. However, it depends on the training status of each individual and the assigned department.

How many night shifts do you have?

In case of two shifts, the average number of night shifts is about four times a month.

I'd like to know the rent of the dormitory.

The municipal hospital has been rebuilt: 35,000 yen per month, dormitories that are not rebuilt: The monthly fee is 18,000 yen, and the stroke / neural spine center costs 12,000 yen per month.

Is it possible for all applicants to enter the dormitory?

We will prepare for all applicants to move in, but please note that depending on the situation in vacant rooms, distant people may have to move in with priority and wait for nearby people.

I'm interested in intensive care units and emergency services. Is it possible to assign a new graduate to an operating room or ICU?

New graduates are also assigned to the operating room, ICU and CCUs. However, assignments will be determined in consideration of the assignment request after passing.

Is it necessary to participate in tours and internships to take the recruitment selection process?

Participation in tours and internships are not eligible for the exam. However, it is a good opportunity to learn about the workplace and the atmosphere of seniors, so please join us.

Scholarship page

I am planning to graduate in March 2026. Is it possible to take a scholarship examination?

In the 2024 Nursing Student Scholarship Examination, those who are not in the final grade as of April 1, 2024 will not be able to take the exam.
Please refer to the scholarship examination page or the examination guide for eligibility.

I am currently enrolled in a nursing training school. Do I need two transcript originals?

In the case of simultaneous exams, only one original transcript is acceptable.

Can the medical certificate be obtained from physical checkup at school?

It may be the result of physical checkup consulted at school. However, be sure to make sure that you have received all necessary items. If you find any missing items, consult a medical institution and submit it together with the results of physical checkup.
In addition, when submitting a copy of the result, you must have a school seal that proves that the contents are not different from the original. We cannot accept copies without seal.
Inspection items: Medical history, presence or absence of subjective symptoms and other symptoms, height, weight, vision (naked eyes and correction), hearing (conversation area), chest X-ray (indirect), blood pressure, urinalysis (sugar/protein), medical interviews
