With the Rugby World Cup 2019 TM as an opportunity, Yokohama City is implementing the following projects as an initiative to further promote rugby competitions and foster momentum before and after the tournament.

- Rugby experience business for preschoolers

- Information for tag rugby instructors
Visit to elementary schools such as rugby players
In Yokohama City, with the Rugby World Cup 2019 TM as an opportunity, we are conducting visits by rugby players and others in Municipal Elementary Schools to further promote rugby competitions and foster momentum before and after the Games.
This project started in fiscal 2016 and has been implemented at a total of 18 schools, one school in one ward every year, and has visited a total of 126 schools by fiscal 2023.
1 Business description
Rugby players and others will give lectures on the theme of "importance of working toward dreams" and practical instruction on tag rugby.
In addition to the Kanagawa Rugby Football Association, since FY2021, the program has been held with the cooperation of the Yokohama Canon Eagles and YOKOHAMA TKM rugby teams based in Yokohama. Since 2024, we have been visiting the rugby team mainly.

Rugby experience business for preschoolers
In Yokohama City, we are conducting a rugby experience project for preschoolers in order to convey the excitement of the Rugby World Cup 2019 TM Japan Games to future children, foster rugby culture, and create opportunities to get acquainted with sports.
In fiscal 2019, in cooperation with the Japan Rugby Football Association, a rugby experience program for preschoolers aged 4.5, `` Undo no Tatsujin '' was launched for the first time in Japan, a nursery school, kindergarten in Yokohama City, We carried out in child institution.
1 What is the Rugby Experience Program for Preschool Children "Undo Master"?
For games such as tag games that are usually familiar in nursery schools, kindergartens, children's schools, etc., "pass", "try", "tag removal" are called "pass", "try", "tag removal".
This is an unprecedented rugby experience program that incorporates the movements of rugby and tag rugby.
It can be easily introduced without knowing the rules of rugby and tag rugby, and children can enjoy rugby competitions and rugby balls more happily.

This program was launched mainly by the Japan Rugby Football Association. In Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture Rugby Football Association has established the Kanagawa Prefecture Rugby Football Association.
This program is conducted in cooperation with the Association.

2 Provision of rugby balls

Parent-child rugby class
Rugby classes where parents and children can participate together at Shin-Yokohama Park, where Yokohama International Stadium is located, where the Rugby World Cup 2019TM finals are located, in order to create opportunities for Yokohama children and child-rearing generations to become familiar with rugby, move and enjoy themselves.
