Origin of the town name "Shiraho"

The Yokohama Bayside Marina area began with the construction of reclaiming a part of the former storage surface of Kanazawa Woodworking Port was completed in March 1995. Then, in July of the same year, a new land of about 14ha born by landfill was named "Shiraho".
This is named "Shiraho" as a town name suitable for this area, which makes the image of pure white yacht sails while listening to the opinions of local affiliates.
