6 Regarding insect repellent measures

Last Updated February 26, 2019

Places where insects are likely to occur

Please check and clean the following sites regularly.

Garbage storage area (collection place)

If food residue is contained, the residue may rot and ferment and emit a bad smell, causing flies and the like. Especially in summer, it has a remarkable effect.

Take measures such as tying the mouth of the garbage bag tightly and replacing the garbage bag frequently.

If the place where the pests occurred is indoors, clean up the garbage and clean the garbage area. If you are outdoors, spray insecticide.

If pests occur inside the garbage bag, tie the mouth of a plastic bag, etc., and put it out for garbage collection.

Toilet

Flies may gather due to toilet smell. Make sure that the mouth of the stool bag used for the stool is tightly tied, and that the odor does not leak out as much as possible. (Refer to the poster "How to Use Toilet Pack" (PDF: 292KB))

Also, poor toilet cleaning can cause pests to gather and consequently transmit infectious diseases. Let's clean it up frequently.

Puddles

Puddles are the source of mosquitoes. If empty cans or old tires are left unattended, rainwater may accumulate in it and become a source of mosquitoes. Please check the surroundings as well.

If you are in trouble with insects.

Please consult with Kanazawa Ward disaster headquarters.

Please consult as soon as possible before a mass outbreak occurs. As soon as we are ready, we will go to the survey.
