FY2024 Izumi Ward Management Policy

We will encourage local residents to continue living in Izumi Ward and realize that if they live in Izumi Ward, and aim to become a child-friendly town in Izumi Ward, we will promote sustainable town development where all generations can live vigorously.

Based on the basic strategy of the Yokohama City Medium-Term Plan, “Yokohama, a town that nurtures the next generation of children,” we will develop the following measures.

We will promote the appeal of Izumi Ward, such as agriculture and traditional culture, to people inside and outside the city, and promote city promotion to enhance attachment. In addition, we promote approach for domiciliation, transference in cooperation with various main constituents triggered by lively creation of Yumegaoka district where new population increase is expected.

In addition to supporting the Neighborhood Association Neighborhood Associations and local community groups, we will encourage the participation of children who will be responsible for the future community in various local activities and promote multi-generational exchanges and regional activities. In addition, we will promote initiatives to promote a change in behavior toward decarbonization triggered by the separation of plastic resources starting in October, and promote the creation of liveliness in shopping streets.

We will strengthen the ward’s efforts for disaster prevention, such as raising awareness of the self support and community support regarding disaster prevention. In addition, we will promote the development of safe and secure towns, including measures against anti-crime program, measures against infectious diseases, and appropriate maintenance and management of infrastructure facilities such as roads.

In order to create a town where everyone can live with peace of mind by supporting each other, we will promote the Izumi Waku Waku Plan (4th Izumi Ward Community Welfare and Health Plan) and the Izumi Ward Action Plan. In addition, we will enhance continuous support from pregnancy to child-rearing, promote understanding of children with disabilities and persons, and promote initiatives to support social participation.

As the most familiar administrative organization, we will work hard on our core operations. By providing high-quality services, we support the lives of inhabitants of a ward and promote trusted administrative administration.

Each staff listens to the "voices" of the inhabitants of the ward, snuggles up to their feelings, accurately grasps needs, reflects them in the ward administration, and provides accurate, kind and polite administrative services.

Each department of the ward office cooperates to deepen the face-to-face relationship with the local people and grasp the local situation and issues integrally. While making use of the expertise of each department, we will work on regional support and solving regional issues throughout the ward office.

From a citizen's point of view, a sense of speed, and the overall optimum perspective, "Team Izumi" will work together to promote the ward administration and respond to various issues. We will promote communication between vertical and horizontal, foster a sense of unity and strengthen organizational strength.
