Initiatives in the northern part of Akuwa (Seya Ward)
Information: Mr. Yasue Shimizu (Chairman of the Japan National Council of Social Welfare, Northern Akuwa, Seya-ku)
Aiming to become a community development where residents can watch each other, we established the "Watching Network Executive Committee" and set up a "watching house" as a base for activities. For construction costs, we applied for Yokohama City's "Yokohama Citizen Town Contract Business" and raised funds. Today, it is crowded as a base for interaction between various people.
"Oyaji no Hiroba" is an organization that contributes to the community through local events and voluntary activities. It also played a central role in the construction of a "watching house".

"Jupi no Engawa" and "Sakura Chaya Nishiba" (Kanazawa Ward)

This is a community salon where everyone in the area can interact with each other, and it is a place where children and adults can interact with each other for many generations.

It is operated by an NPO made by local volunteers, and serves as a base for local locations, meals, and solving problems.
