Fumi Takahashi, the representative of the Nakadamachi Fifth Park Park Play Volunteer Association, which provides a place where mothers raising children in the area and children aged 0 to 3 can gather and play with each other at Nakadamachi Dai-ichi Park. We talked to Jiro.

In recent years, the number of parents raising children in areas where they do not know has increased, and sad news that closed-room childcare can lead to infant abuse. From the viewpoint of preventing infant abuse, we aim to create an environment and opportunities for parents and children (0 to 3 years old) who are raising children in the area gather at Nakadamachi Dai-ichi Park to create an environment and opportunities for parents to enjoy and raise children. For the purpose, we decide the date and time every month and carry out activities of park play.

The first park play was held on February 22, 2010. During the first four years, volunteer staff from Neighborhood Association Nakashita and Sukippu, a local child-rearing support center in Izumi Ward.

We learn know-how of child play, and from 2014, local everybody plays a leading role and runs.

I try to create a place where mothers can easily talk with each other.

For mothers who came to the park for the first time, create a chance to talk, and when they get acquainted, gently leave and watch over.

We decide on the date of the year and try to hold it even with some rain. By deciding the date and time of each month, it will be easier to participate. If you are new to the park, we will provide support and create opportunities for mothers to get along with each other, and the staff will watch over so that the children can concentrate on playing with peace of mind.
