Creating the charm of the Horiwari River

　With the development of Yokohama Port, the Horiwari River, which was completed in 1874, was used as a boat route connecting Yokohama Port and Negishi Bay from Meiji to Showa. There are wharfs at the mouth of the river, and inns, shipyards, and factories along the river, and it seems that it was bustling.
　In Isogo Ward, together with the Horiwari River Attraction Committee and inhabitants of the ward, we are working to create the charm of the Horiwari River so that the residents of Isogo can continue to get close to the Horiwari River, a precious waterside in Isogo Ward.

We introduce event that "Horiwarigawa charm making executive committee" holds.
People who say, "It's a familiar river, but I wasn't very conscious!" can enjoy the charm of the Horiwari River while having fun.

"Horiwarigawa Cherry Blossom Party" will be held for the first time in 5 years!
The animal quarantine station premises of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is open to the public, and you can see the row of cherry trees along the Horiwari River from nearby.
