Volunteer groups active in Isogo Ward
The activities of volunteer groups are indispensable to ensure the safety and security of residents from disasters. In Isogo Ward, various volunteer groups are working hard to ensure the safety and security of residents in anticipation of disasters. I would like to introduce the activities of each volunteer group. Activities vary from group to group, but the situation that requires as many collaborators as possible is common. If you are interested in volunteer activities, please contact Isogo Ward Office General Affairs Division Risk Management Subdivision (750-2312).

Yokohama Amateur Radio Emergency Communications Cooperation Association Isogo Ward Branch
In the event of a major disaster, infrastructure such as telephone and the Internet will be greatly affected. In order to communicate information on such situations, it was requested by Yokohama City in 1972 and concluded an agreement. In 2008, we concluded an agreement with Isogo Ward. Major activities include communicating information on damage to evacuation shelter and ward offices around member homes and the status of medical institutions to ward offices. From normal times, we conduct a wide range of training to prepare for emergencies and strive to maintain and improve our technology.

Yokohama Disaster Prevention License Isoko
Since 2004, Yokohama City has been implementing the “Yokohama Disaster Prevention License Project” to train leaders who handle materials and equipment necessary for evacuation and rescue operations as a core human resource responsible for the establishment and operation of the evacuation shelter.
In 2007, "Yokohama Disaster Prevention License Isoko" was launched to actively support disaster prevention activities in Isogo Ward by utilizing the skills and knowledge of handling equipment acquired through this project.
We conduct inspections and training on equipment and equipment at each evacuation shelter, as well as in the disaster drill of the United Neighborhood Associations.

Co-hosted by the ward office and the Yokohama Disaster Prevention License Isoko, we will hold a ward-specific workshop for the purpose of deepening our knowledge of "rescue equipment" and "living equipment" at the disaster prevention storage in evacuation shelter and acquiring skills. We look forward to the application of as many people as possible to improve the disaster prevention capabilities of the area. For more information, please refer to the following link.

Isogo Ward Disaster Volunteer Network
In the event of a large-scale disaster, we will accept many volunteers from all over the country. It was established in 2006 to accurately grasp the needs of survivors and other organizations and to support volunteer activities. The range of activities varies from person to person, but they are active by utilizing their knowledge and abilities. Major activities as an organization include lectures on disaster prevention in the community, support for training in evacuation shelter, and training in the establishment of volunteer centers.
