What is the safety confirmation Bandana in the event of a disaster?

In the event of a disaster, the safety confirmation Bandana was created to assist local people in safety confirmation in the event of a major earthquake or other disaster.
The yellow bandana is marked with a large letter "I'm safe" and a picture of Ume-san, a guide to the Isogo Ward Community Welfare and Health Plan.

How to use safety confirmation Bandana in the event of a disaster

In the event of a disaster such as a major earthquake, confirm the safety of yourself and your family, and then tie the bandana to a place that is easy to see from the outside, such as your home entrance, veranda, or clothes drying.
This bandana will serve as a mark to inform you of "safe".
If there is a household that does not have a bandana, please carry out the safety confirmation in your neighborhood or in Neighborhood Associations Neighborhood Association. In particular, for those who have difficulty evacuating on their own in the event of a disaster (persons requiring assistance during a disaster), we ask for your cooperation in actively conducting safety confirmation.

Who will receive safety confirmation Bandana during a disaster?

It will be distributed to all households living in Isogo Ward (one per household).
If you come to General Affairs Division No. 64 on the 6th floor of Isogo Ward Office, we will hand it directly to you.
It is also possible to hand out multiple cards together on behalf of Neighborhood Association Neighborhood Associations and neighbors.
When you come, please contact us at the bottom of this page with the scheduled date and time.

Why do you need safety confirmation?

In the past major disasters, including the Great East Japan Earthquake, we were able to save the lives of more people through the help of community support.
In the event of a disaster, there are people who have difficulty evacuating on their own, such as elderly people and people with physical disabilities (persons requiring assistance during a disaster). In such a case, community support's efforts to talk to each other in the neighborhood to play safety confirmation will save many lives.
"In the event of a disaster, inform your neighbors of safety."
"Before evacuation, talk to each other and help each other."
Please take advantage of the safety confirmation Bandana in the event of a disaster.
