As a general rule, within one month from the day after the deadline, payment can be made at the financial institution on the back of the delivery letter of advice, but arrearages may occur from the day after the due date such as city tax. Please refer to letter issuance bureau (ward) section.

Securities which can be paid

• Checks (carrier payment type or registered name with the account manager or financial institution as the recipient, which can be presented for payment within the presentation period)
• Transfer payment certificates and foreign exchange certificates of Japan Post Bank (which meet the same conditions as checks)
• Government bonds and municipal bonds (with due dated by anonymous formula)
• Interest bills of government bonds and municipal bonds (with due dated by anonymous formula)
