Overview of Land Compensation

Last update date August 16, 2023

First of all,

Thank you very much for your cooperation in promoting Yokohama municipal administration on a daily basis.
Yokohama has developed dramatically since the opening of the port, and today it has grown into Japan's second largest city with a population of 3.7 million.
However, as we enter the 21st century, we are facing a major turning point in society, with the advent of a declining birthrate and aging society, a declining population, and the globalization of socio-economics.
Therefore, in June 2006, Yokohama City formulated a new “Yokohama City Basic Plan (Long-Term Vision)” with a view to the next 20 years (until around 2025). We are implementing the “Yokohama Medium-Term Four-Year Plan” to embody a city that creates a new “Yokohama-likeness”.
In this plan, various business plans are planned, but in order to promote these businesses, it is necessary to have citizens transfer the business site.
As Motoichi will try for realization of business with full power, I would like understanding and cooperation of all of you.
