Yokohama Port Long-Term Vision
Last Updated July 31, 2024
Citizens and stakeholders will discuss how to maintain and develop the various roles that Yokohama Port plays, such as international logistics, production and research and development, tourism and conventions, and recreation, in the future, and what will be newly expected in the future. We have compiled the future image of Yokohama Port, which is expected to be approximately 20 to 30 years ahead, as the “Yokohama Port Long-Term Vision”.
We sincerely thank the citizens and related organizations for their ideas and opinions on the development, and we will continue to understand and cooperate toward the realization of the "Yokohama Port Long-Term Vision". Thank you.

The port itself, such as recreation, historic buildings, and state-of-the-art logistics functions, becomes a resource, learn and enjoy harbors.
(5)Ports where resources and energy circulate
Ports that minimize environmental impact through efforts to reduce resource consumption and recycle resources.
(6)Port where ecosystems are regenerated in conservation
A port where many citizens can experience and learn about the sea by working on the restoration of the marine environment in conservation.
- Process of Formulation
In formulating the Yokohama Port Long-Term Vision, we conducted a public opinion solicitation in parallel with the examination by the Review and Investigation Committee. Specifically, we announced the interim plan through leaflets and the Internet, solicited opinions from citizens widely, and held a symposium with citizen participation.
