Child and Child Care Support Forum

Based on the philosophy of the Yokohama City Child and Child Care Support Project Plan, which is to raise children and adolescents throughout the region, a forum was held to foster momentum to support children and child care in the community.  For the formulation of the next plan (plan period: Reiwa 2 to 6), what we were having trouble raising children, happy, what we want you to understand, etc.
 A group talk was held to think about child care in Yokohama together while talking about the true intentions of child care among participants.

Survey (implemented in FY2018) to understand usage needs for the formulation of the next “Yokohama City Child and Child Care Support Project Plan”

For the next plan (plan period: Reiwa 2-6), a questionnaire survey was conducted to understand the current situation and needs of families raising children.

(1)Survey to grasp the current situation regarding childcare for preschool children and the needs of parents
(2)Surveys to understand the current situation of elementary school students after school and parents' needs

Random sampling from the Basic Resident Register (extracted so that there is no overlap between households)

(1) Preschool children survey: 62,677 people
(2) Elementary school students survey: 66,358 people
Total: 129,035 people
