 The City Council Bureau Policy Research Division of Yokohama City Council is recruiting staff for the fiscal year 2023 (assistant to the City Counsil Library Office) in order to hire employees engaged in the preservation and utilization of materials related to City Counsil and reception at the City Counsil Library.

※If the results of the ability demonstration are good, they may be re-appointed up to four consecutive times regardless of the open call for participants.

Business description

(1) Operations related to the preservation and utilization of materials such as past minutes related to City Counsil (confirmation of personal information, preparation of catalogs, etc.)
(2) Lending, returning and guiding books and materials
(3) Other operations related to the management and operation of the City Counsil Library


※In addition, disaster response work in the event of a large-scale disaster (basically an auxiliary work, only during working hours)



Eligibility for application

Those who do not fall under the disqualification provisions of Article 16 of the Local Public Service Law
(Act on Partial Revision of the Civil Code (Act No. 149 of 1999) include those who are to be based on the previous examples pursuant to the provisions of Article 3, Paragraph 3 of the Supplementary Provisions.)


※Age and nationality do not matter. However, those who do not have Japanese nationality and who have limited employment status will not be hired.

Working hours 8: 45 ~ 17:15 (including 1 hour break)

Remuneration Daily amount: 8,490 yen (hourly wage: 1,132 yen)
Commuting expenses

If you use transportation for commuting, a considerable amount will be paid.

・Annual leave: 10 days in principle

※If a regular employee of Yokohama City continues to be appointed as a fiscal year appointment staff, an annual leave will be granted based on the period including the previous term of appointment.

 ・Collection: Materials such as general books and administrative publications (approximately 14,500 books), magazines (approximately 7,800 books)
