Yokohama City and Kuradashi Co., Ltd. are working together on initiatives to reduce food loss based on the “Memorandum on Public-Private Partnership on Food Loss Reduction” concluded in February 2020.
From February 2022, we will experience the process of producing, distributing, and selling vegetables, think about food loss and local production for local consumption, and develop an initiative "Kradashi Challenge * inYOKOHAMA" to lead to actions. University students living and studying in the city are working under producers in the city.
We will hold a Marche called "Tosai Toshiki: Ingenuity not thrown away for the future" in Yokohama City Hall, which sells vegetables harvested by university students participating in the initiative and disseminates information from the perspective of reducing food loss and local production for local consumption.

※About Kradashi Challenge
Kradashi Co., Ltd. has implemented a social contribution internship “Kradashi Challenge” in which students interested in social issues think about regional revitalization and food loss issues through support for harvesting local producers suffering from labor shortages. Travel expenses, transportation expenses, food expenses, stay expenses, etc. for participating students are supported by the Kradashi Fund, which was established to contribute to the revitalization of the local economy and social development.
