About the occurrence of a large number of people absent from elementary school studenｔ due to vomiting and diarrhea at Hatsunegaoka Elementary School in Yokohama City

　At Hatsunegaoka Elementary School in Yokohama City, on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, 16 out of 550 people in all elementary school studenｔ complained of vomiting and diarrhea, and the number of absent people increased. The route of transmission is under investigation at Hodogaya Ward Health and Welfare Center. In addition to providing guidance on disinfection and thorough hand washing, we will postpone or cancel activities to interact with other grades as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of infection in elementary school studenｔ, shorten classes and stop providing school lunch on Friday, 31st and Monday, February 3rd.
