In City of Yokohama, Transportation Bureau, in a harsh environment of the intersection of Shin-Yokohama Station on Route 2 and directly below a large circular pedestrian bridge, we are building a new Shin-Yokohama Station (tentative name) on the Shin-Yokohama Station (tentative name) on the Shin-Yokohama Station (tentative name) underpinning.
Even under construction, the trains were operated safely as usual, and the construction was carried out without any impact on customers.
For overcoming this difficult construction with advanced technology, we received the most prestigious Society of Civil Engineering Award in Japan.
