Yokohama City and Shanghai entered into a friendship city tie-up in November 1973, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. To commemorate this, the Deputy Mayor of Shanghai City, Changhee, will visit the beach.
At this visit, we will plant a welcome ceremony at the city hall and plant trees at the "Shanghai Yokohama Friendship Garden" (in Honmoku Citizen Park) donated by Shanghai City to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the friendship city alliance.
