　The river managed by Yokohama City is about 86 km, and visual inspection (analog) is carried out on foot.However, depending on the cost of enormous effort and the skills and experience of staff, there is a difference in inspection results. Is an issue.
　In order to solve this problem, we conducted two demonstration experiments (press release on September 27, 2023) with different approaches from April to August 2023, utilizing the digital technology platform "YOKOHAMA Hack!" to grasp sediment deposited and sediment in rivers that cause floods and other factors.
　Based on the results of the demonstration, we have made a consignment order using the comprehensive evaluation bidding method and reported that we have concluded a contract with Pasco Co., Ltd. for "understanding and analyzing the amount of sediment deposition such as rivers".
　In the future, we will use digital technologies, such as AI image interpretation of aerial photographs and measurement using satellite positioning systems (GNSS survey), to grasp the position and amount of sediment deposited in rivers managed by Yokohama City, leading to effective maintenance and management, and further improve flood control safety.
