February issue extra edition Yokohama New Year Festival 2024 Pokemon is coming to Yokohama!

Let's celebrate Lunar New Year with Pokemon in February of this year!

 This spring is a collaboration between Pokemon and Yokohama-Chinatown.
 Pikachu comes to celebration, invited by a lively New Year festival. Also, since this year is the year of the dragon, the dragon dance with the motif of Lek Uza can be spread in Yokohama-Chinatown. Let's celebrate Lunar New Year with Pokemon and others in Yokohama.

Pikachu came to Yamashita Park!

 February 12 (Mon./holiday) Pikachu dressed in special costumes came to the Yamashita Park Festival Plaza under the clear blue clear weather of spring.

 On the day, it is full of many customers wearing the specially designed Pikachu sunvisor distributed at the venue. The popular Pikachu provided a charming fan service with plenty of charm, such as high touches and cute poses.


He posed a lot of smiles on the camera.

 And along with the sound of a big gong, the dragon dance with the motif of the luckwhile! With a large figure of 10m long and quick posture, the excitement of the venue is at its climax.

 After the dragon dance was over, the two loudly shouted, "It was a wonderful performance!" "Lek-Uza, it was very cool! "Pikachu was cute!"

The connection between Pokemon and Yokohama

 Pokemon Co., Ltd. and Yokohama City will hold the “Pikachu Mass Occurrence Chu” held from 2014 to 2019, and the “Pokemon World Championship 2023” last summer. Based on the “Basic Agreement on Strengthening Brand Power and Promotion of Tourism MICE, we held a Yokohama Minato Mirai event, and collaborated to create a great buzz in the town of Yokohama. And these efforts led to this Spring Festival collaboration project.
 In addition, Yokohama City has also published the "Yokohama Pokemon Spot Tourism Map" Spring Festival Edition to further excite the Yokohama Spring Festival. It is distributed at the following event venues, so why not visit the Pokemon spot in Yokohama with the Spring Festival?

Sunday, February 18 from 10:00 to/11:30-Yamashita Park Festival Plaza

February 23 (Fri./holiday) Appeared in Yokohama-Chinatown's traditional parade "Hakumai Yuyuki"
 ※Pikachu appears in a part of the parade. The route will be available from Yamashita-Cho Koen <Yokohama-Chinatown> to Kanteibyo Dori.

Chinese lion dance has also come.

 In Yamashita Park, Chinese lion dance was also performed. The blue and red lions slowly travel around the audience, add the celebration bag “honpoo” and bite their heads. Finally, it grew up with his back legs, and the banner of the celebration was vividly spread. The lion dance can also be seen in Yokohama-Chinatown.

Pokemon Spring Festival Special Anime is being broadcast!

 Pokemon Co., Ltd. teamed up with a Chinese animation studio Haruka Kanki (HMCH), who worked on "Roshao Heisesenki", etc., to produce a special animation on the theme of "Spring Festival".
 People who lived away from their hometown return to their hometown with Pokemon and reunion with their families, reuniting with friends, and preparing for the festival. Please take a look at the Pokemon and people's stories drawn with a soft and warm touch, which is also a feature of Haruka Kangi (HMCH) studio. At the end, that legendary Pokemon may also appear?
