Naming rights are based on a contract between the city and private organizations, etc., instead of giving nicknames to city facilities etc.
This is a method that contributes to the sustainable operation of the facility by obtaining the compensation from the relevant organization.
About the price obtained by the city by naming rights, we will basically use it for the operation and management of facilities.
About naming rights of Yokohama-shi
In Yokohama City, naming rights will be a merit for Yokohama City, sponsors, and citizens, and will be promoted as an initiative that will lead to regional revitalization.
Specifically, we will introduce it for the following purposes.
(1) In a severe financial situation, we will operate sustainable facilities by securing stable financial resources.
(2) By utilizing private resources and know-how, we will enhance the attractiveness of facilities and revitalize the region.
Regarding the introduction of naming rights
Facility-specific recruitment type: When recruiting sponsors for facilities selected by the city
Proposal type: When soliciting proposals from organizations, etc.
Assuming the above two cases, we will implement them based on the guidelines for introducing Yokohama City Naming Rights.
Guidelines for Introduction of Yokohama City Naming Rights
In order to facilitate the introduction of naming rights, Yokohama City has established the "Guidelines for Introduction of Yokohama City Naming Rights". Here, we stipulate the target facilities, the content and examination of proposals, and procedures for introduction such as hearing opinions.

・It is intended for a wide range of public facilities.
※Excluding some facilities: Government buildings such as city halls and ward offices, schools, museums with many donors, etc.
・We have established two methods for recruiting sponsors. (Facility-specific recruitment type, proposal recruitment type)
・At the time of introduction, we will hear opinions from related parties and citizens.
