Just as the beginning of the day is a refreshing feeling, Yokohama is always a city where you can meet "new self". This is the brand slogan of Yokohama City.
Pokemon Co., Ltd. and Yokohama City have signed an agreement, and are developing a lively atmosphere that can be enjoyed by children and adults.
It was held for the first time in 2014 and has since become a famous summer event in Yokohama, "Pikachu Mass Outbreak Chu!" 。 During the event for about a week, more than 1,000 popular Pokemon characters Pikachu will appear in the Minato Mirai area, performing various shows and marches.
Minato Mirai, a city where the cuteness of Pikachu coexists with beautiful cityscapes and historical cityscapes, delights many tourists. The scene is transmitted not only to Japan but also overseas, creating inbound tourism.

Yokohama City is strengthening its efforts to attract customers from Japan and overseas to prepare for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The Minatomirai district, along with many office buildings, has many commercial and cultural facilities, and has high potential as a tourist spot.
The cooperation agreement with Pokemon Co., Ltd. will continue until 2020, and will enliven the global big event together.
